Position: Dutch Customer Support Specialist – Medical Devices
Location: Porto, Portugal (On-site)
Industry: Healthcare / Medical Technology
Contract: Initial 6-month contract (with potential extension)


Overview

We are seeking a Dutch-speaking Customer Support Specialist to join a global healthcare technology project supporting patients who use advanced diabetes management devices.

The role focuses on providing customer care and technical assistance to patients across European markets. The successful candidate will deliver professional and empathetic support while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards associated with medical devices.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: €1,557.10 gross per month

  • €2,000 signing bonus, paid monthly during the first year

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customer care and technical assistance for diabetes medical devices and related accessories.

  • Deliver technical support and troubleshooting to patients and customers.

  • Assist users with product setup, functionality and usage guidance.

  • Handle customer enquiries via multiple channels including phone, email, chat and SMS.

  • Manage order intake, renewals and related documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and case resolutions.

  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when supporting patients in sensitive situations.

  • Follow established workflows and scripts to ensure consistent service quality.


Requirements

  • Dutch language: C2 level (native or near-native)

  • English language: C1 level

  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

  • Ability to manage large volumes of information and follow detailed procedures

  • Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to handle challenging or sensitive customer interactions professionally


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or technical support

  • Background or knowledge related to healthcare, medical devices or patient support


Working Hours

  • 24/7 rotating shifts

  • Monday to Sunday

  • Two rotating days off per week

Night shifts (22:00 – 07:00) may occasionally be required.
